New educational and multi-functional card game garners praise from both educators and game players.

Brooksville, FL (PRnine – November 8, 2012) – The Learning magazine Teachers’ Choice Awards annually reviews new products that are developed for classrooms. Their panel consists of nationwide teachers who provide reviews on various products including educational books, games, and software, and classroom supplies.  One product that received positive reviews was “Trivia Card Game U.S.A. with Map Puzzle” developed by Phillip and Louis Mlecka.

The trivia game consists of 52 playing cards, which contain information about the fifty states, capitals of foreign countries, and Washington, D.C. For example, one card represents one state with trivia data about that particular state printed on the card. All 50 states are included in the deck, including a card about Washington, D.C., and one specific to foreign capitals. The back of the card serves as a puzzle piece, when assembled with the rest of the deck make up a map of the United States.

The game is played by having one player ask other players trivia questions based on the information on the cards.  The player who answers the question correctly keeps the card. Each card has a point value, which corresponds to a suit or rank. The object of the game is to collect as many cards as possible, ideally those with the largest point value. And the winner of the game is the player who collects the most points.

In a classroom setting the “Trivia Card Game U.S.A. with Map Puzzle” can be integrated as part of a social studies class to reiterate key learning about United States geography and history.  It teaches students about the nation, the different states, how they are similar and different, and the ways they work together. It also helps students learn how to pick out important information when conducting research and how to work as a team to solve problems. And its ideal for school fundraising projects.

Also, a major advantage of the “Trivia Card Game U.S.A. with Map Puzzle” is that it is a multi-functional product with three products in one- a deck of cards, a trivia game, and a puzzle. And the cards uses are not limited to only a classroom setting. They can also be used in social gatherings, parties, and professional club meetings giving it mass appeal to both young and old players. It has multiple uses and can be used in multiple settings making this card game unique from other trivia card games in the industry.
