November 13, 2008

Rancho Santa Margarita, CA (PRnine – November 13, 2008) – Peter Miller, President of PMA Literary & Film Management, Inc., and his associate Adrienne Rosado are proud to announce the placement of US and Canadian publishing rights for a powerful transformational novel, THE COMPASS, by Tammy Kling and John Spencer Ellis, with Roger Cooper, Vice President and Publisher of Vanguard Press, a division of The Perseus Book Group. PMA manages world rights to this title. Vanguard Press plans to publish the book in hard cover in May 2009.

“Vanguard Press is very proud to be publishing THE COMPASS next Spring.  I feel that this unique novel and film have the potential to inspire, energize and motivate millions of people to find their own best place in the world,” says Roger Cooper.

The film The Compass, narrated by Brian Tracy, will be released in February 2009 with a film premier at the Grove, in Anaheim. It features John Assaraf, who has appeared most recently on Larry King, and Donny Deutsch, as well as Joe Vitale, Tony Jeary, and other celebrities. The movie is an inspirational film that provides a path for transforming your life. Both the film and the novel will be supported by major national marketing and publicity campaigns.

The Compass, the novel, opens with the main character, Jonathan, on a walk in the wilderness. He has just had a significant tragedy that has changed the direction of his life, and has been unable to merge back into his normal suburban existence, home, or career. Jonathan’s wife and child were killed in one brief moment in an automobile accident, and he finds himself numb and frozen. Jonathan’s journey into the wild is a metaphor for the journey of life, with its intermittent peaks and valleys, that we all embark on. The core message of the book is that there are specific people and circumstances in your life during this journey and time on earth that will lead you towards your destiny. Understanding it all and being able to see the unseen, is a critical part of achieving success in this world.

The Compass has now been placed in the U.S. & Canada (Vanguard Press), U.S. & Canada Audio (Brilliance Audio), Italy (Mondadori), Brazil (Ediouro), Israel (Modan Publishing House Ltd), Portugal (Lua de Papel) and Holland (Paradigma) with other major interest throughout the world.
