LBA Elects Noelia Moreno As Its First Woman President In Its 37 Year History.

Miami, FL (PRnine – September 24, 2008) – The Latin Builders Association has elected Noelia Moreno as its first woman president in the organization’s long and distinguished history. Noelia is owner and vice president of Moralmar Kitchen Cabinets. Moralmar is consistently ranked in the Top 100 woodworking companies in the United States and has been ranked as one of the fastest growing woodworking companies in the country.

Ms. Moreno is an attorney in good standing with the Florida Bar. She was named LBA’s Director of the Year in 2005 for her outstanding service to the LBA and South Florida community.

“This is indeed a historic year for women in both the national and local fronts. I am thrilled that the LBA has recognized the contributions of women to their organization and industry by naming Noelia Moreno as LBA’s first female President”, said Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, U.S. Representative.

Ms. Moreno has been Chairperson of the LBA’s Events Committee for 2 years. She was responsible for helping organize the most visible and publicized event in LBA history – the Decision 2008 GOP Presidential Candidates Forum, held in January 2008. She was Chairperson of the LBA’s Membership Committee and helped improve member services and increased membership retention. Noelia has assisted in the organization of the Board of Directors retreat since 2004. She was active in the Membership Committee, Fishing Committee and Golf Committees prior to serving as chairperson of committees.

“Noelia is representative of a new and dynamic generation of leaders that is breaking through glass ceilings in the construction industry and South Florida community”, said Ovi Vento, current President of the LBA. Noelia’s term in office will be from November 2009 through November 2010. She will follow Anthony Seijas who will serve as president during the 2008-2009 year.

Ms. Moreno is a proud graduate of the University of Miami School of Law. She also received a Bachelor of Business Administration, International Finance and Marketing from this fine institution.
